- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the accumulator to pay out, and winnings roll over from one selection to the next.
- American Odds
- Odds expressed as a plus or minus number; plus shows how much profit you make on a $100 bet, minus shows how much you must bet to win $100.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap system that eliminates draws by giving a half‑goal or quarter‑goal advantage/disadvantage to each team.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that allows you to combine multiple markets from a single match into one customized wager.
- Cashout
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Decimal Odds
- Odds displayed as a single number that includes your stake; multiply your bet by this number to calculate total return.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds shown as a fraction, such as 5/1; the first number is the profit you win for every unit of the second number wagered.
- Free Bet
- A promotional token you can use to place a bet; any winnings are paid out but the free bet amount is not returned.
- Hedging
- Placing additional bets on opposite outcomes to reduce risk or guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- In‑Play Betting
- Placing a bet on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice (Vig)
- The commission or fee a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, reflected in the odds.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer; the process a betting site uses to verify your identity and prevent fraud.
- Moneyline
- A bet that picks the winner of a match, with odds expressed as a positive or negative number.
- Over/Under
- A wager on whether the total number of goals/scores in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A multi‑selection bet where each choice must win for the bet to win, combining odds and increasing potential payout.
- Payout
- The total amount of money you receive when a bet wins, including your original stake.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the underdog and a corresponding advantage to the favorite to level the betting field.
- Responsible Gambling
- Practices and resources aimed at keeping betting safe, such as deposit limits, reality checks, and support services.
- Rollover
- The number of times you must bet a bonus or deposit before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
- Self‑Exclusion
- A tool that lets you temporarily or permanently block yourself from betting on a site to help control gambling.
- Single Bet
- A straightforward bet on one outcome; you win if that selection wins.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard measure of bet size, often a fixed percentage of your bankroll, used to manage risk.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered by the bookmaker are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting a positive expected return.
